Italy October 2016

Image result for 2016 bmw 225xe

BMW Best Selling Manufacturer

Last month the Italian EV market was up 27% YoY, to 206 units, placing YTD sales further to black, now up 9% YoY, with the EV share at 0,15%.

Looking at the models ranking, the surprise of the Month were the 39 registrations of the Renault Zoe, its best result in 18 months, allowing it to climb to #8 in the YTD ranking, which is still far from last year performance, when in October it was #2 with 266 units...Maybe the upcoming 40 kWh version will spike sales up.

As for the YTD leader, the Nissan Leaf, Second in October with 24 units, can start thinking on the celebrations for the Best Seller title, its third in a row, as it has a 100 unit lead over the Second Placed BMW 225xe Act. Tourer.

Below in the ranking, the Volvo V60 Plug-in lost two places, dropping to #12, to the benefit of the Mercedes B250 and BMW i3, now #10 and #11, respectively.

Final mention to the good start of the Tesla Model X, delivering 8 units in its second month in the market and climbing to #20.

Looking at the manufacturers ranking, BMW is in the lead, with 29% Share (Down 2%), followed by Nissan (17%), and Renault (15%, up 2%). It seems BMW will end this year the Renault domination, as the French carmaker had collected every Manufacturer Title since 2012.

The Euro-PHEV tide also arrived to Italy, with the rise of BMW, plug-in hybrids doubled share regarding last year, PHEV's now have 42% share, against just 21% in 2015...

    1. Because Sergio (Fiat's head) is not interested in selling them, be it in Europe or nationwide in the US. Or Canada.
