Tesla Edition
The September sales in the Italian EV market were below the 200-something units and although that represents a 30% increase YoY, it is still a frustrating number, especially when you remember this is a large market on a recovery trend, proof of this is the snail pace of the EV Share in these last years: 0.11% in 2013, 0.12% last year and the current 0,16%.
Looking at the models ranking, the Nissan Leaf increased the YTD leadership, thanks to another off month of the Renault Zoe (Only five units sold), with the french supermini being chased by its Twizy relative (Italy is its most successful market) and the #4 BMW i3.
Looking at the Plug-In Hybrid front, the Golf GTE is resisting the Outlander PHEV in the race for the PHEV Best-Seller, both should surpass the #5 Citröen C-Zero in the near future.
The Tesla Model S is increasing the pace, with 19 units sold last month, it was the second best selling month ever month for the american car and the first time it reached a monthly podium, allowing it to rise to #9 in the YTD ranking and it's now looking to remove the Fortwo ED from #8. Will we see it reach #1 soon?
