Tesla Shines in Record Month
In a record month (2.219 units and 1.19% share, first time north of 1%), the big news were of course both Teslas having their usual last month of the quarter peak, with the Model S scoring 289 deliveries, its best result in 18 months, but most importantly, the Model X had 344 registrations, not only the nameplate best performance to date, but also a new record in Canadian lands for a Tesla model in a single month
The record performance took the Model X to the last place of the podium, switching places with its older brother, it seems the latest developments in the SUV product line (Two row folding seats, lower price...) has been helping it fulfill its potential. Cheers to that.

Other important changes occurred in the Top 10, with the Hyundai Ioniq Electric jumping to #6, thanks to 150 deliveries, thus making six BEVs in the Top 7 positions, while the irregular Chrysler Pacifica PHEV seems to have found its mojo and climbed to #8, thanks to a record 175 deliveries.
Looking into October preliminary results, we have the leader Chevrolet Volt delivering a good 424 units, followed by its younger Bolt relative, clocking a personal best 371 registrations, all while the Prius Prime also posted a positive result (121 units). On the other hand, the Leaf confirmed to be in “waiting mode”, with only 7 deliveries, and the recently arrived VW e-Golf registered 62 units, less than half of what it had collected in the previous month (122 units).
Looking at the manufacturers ranking, Chevrolet (34%) is stable at the Throne, keeping Tesla (20%) at a comfortable distance.
In Third Place we now have still have Nissan, with 7% share, doing its best to save its Bronze Medal from Ford (7% and only 105 units behind Nissan) and BMW (6%).

Looking at the full-size vehicles general ranking, this month the Model S made it to Silver, surpassing the BMW 5-Series, while the leaders Mercedes CLS/E-Class were ahead by just 13 units. Will we see the Sports Sedan leading the way in December?
The remaining competition was well behind, with two Audi's completing the Top 5.

Looking at the Model X general placement in its class, the record performance of September finally allowed the Sports SUV to reach the podium, with the Model X collecting a Bronze Medal, but below it, the remaining competition is not far behind, so the Californian needs to build similar peak performances in the future, in order to stay relevant.
Will it be able to do it?
