WOW, what a treat, José !!!
ReplyDeleteUK: 5,9% (2,7% BEV)
Hello, Jose!
ReplyDeleteIt would be really good to have such an article once monthly for all European countries and overall European PEV market at one place. Very good idea! The result is impressive, considering that January and H1 are weeker than H2 and the last months of the year. So, wouldn't be surprised if it continues like this, that we have pleasant surprise at the end of the year and December PEV sales to be North of 10% (or even 12%) in Europe. The results are really exciting and for me they point to over 30% PEV sales in 2024, which would mean that diesel will fall below 10% in 2024 and in 2025 there will be almost no diesel cars sales in Europe.
check out EAFO 8eafo.eu), they have all of Europe PEV shares.
DeleteGermany 6.5% (BEV 3%)

Germany: 3.0 % BEV, 12.5 % Plug-in hybrids
ReplyDeleteSource: https://ecomento.de/2020/02/05/elektroauto-hybridauto-zulassungen-januar-2020/
12.5% is all hybrids: PHEVs are 3.5%.
DeleteThese are some amazing figures... Seems auto makers are indeed getting serious about pushing EVs now to comply with the new mandate. Let's hope it's not just a one-time peak from pent-up demand... Otherwise, it ultimately disproves the car makers' lie that "people just don't want to buy EVs" :-)
DeleteI'm particularly impressed with the Netherlands posting such a good result despite the major incentive step-down...
@antrik
Deleteshare BEVs-3% Netherlands
Well, 3% is more in line with expectations I guess...
DeleteThat means though that they got 4.6% PHEV share, despite no incentives? That's pretty impressive as well...
Opel Ampera-leader.sell-out.No good impressions.

ReplyDeleteWhat will happen in February?!!+3 ship with Tesla.
ReplyDeleteMostly two ships... The third one is a little late to have most of its load delivered in February.
DeleteFebruary 21 more than enough time.
DeleteAnyway Tesla will add 10000. 80000 in February in Europe?
DeleteYeah, it seems this one is sailing a tick faster than usual... If it does in fact arrive on the 21st, that should be enough time to deliver a significant portion of its load -- though surely not all... Could indeed see something close to 10,000 deliveries for February I guess :-)
DeleteFrance: 8.2 BEV's and 2.8 PHEV's. ;)
ReplyDeleteAudi E-Tron is having an excellent start of the year in Norway so far.
ReplyDeleteAudi E-Tron is having an excellent start of the year in Norway so far.
ReplyDelete18% of registered EVs.
Should do pretty good right now in most of Europe, since most shipments at the end of last year went to the Netherlands... Will be more interesting how it holds up over the next months.
Delete(Or once real competitors -- such as the Model Y -- make their debuts... But that's further out :-) )
Czech republic - 3,26%
ReplyDeleteIreland: 4.7%
ReplyDeleteGreat, great!!!
ReplyDeleteFrance is at 8.2% for BEV only. PEV at 11%. Huge increase compared to 2019.
ReplyDelete21,4% BEV in Iceland - while the official website (https://orkusetur.is/samgongur/tolfraedi/nyskraningar-bila/) doesn't separate EVs from hybrids it shows total of 707 cars were sold and from this news report (https://www.ruv.is/frett/record-breaking-january-for-new-electric-cars) we know 151 of them were BEVs, so 151/707=0.21357... or 21.4f market share.
ReplyDelete8,2% for France is just BEVs. With PHEVs included the plugin share is about 11%.
ReplyDeleteAudi E-Tron is having an excellent start of the year in Norway so far.
ReplyDelete19% of all EV registrations
Renault Zoe was the most popular EV in January for Italy.
https://europe.autonews.com/sales-market/italy-sales-fall-6-percent-january-ev-sales-surge
Faroe Islands - BEV 6,2% market share (Hybrids are listed with gas/diesel)
ReplyDeleteBehind the percentage: The French bought 5300 Zoe's in Jan. Remarkable volume, and achieved by holding back sales end of 2019
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to show a chart with market share and growth rates, which shows the dynamics of a market. Do you have also growth rates for each markets?
ReplyDeleteHere is complete info for Germany from Nachos link.
ReplyDeleteCategory , Sales , Percentage
BEV , 7492 , 3.0
All Hybrids , 30805 , 12.5
Hybrids , 8639 , 3.5
Plugins , 22166 , 9.0
NGV , 882 , 0.4
Total vehicle sales , 246300
Diesel down 12,4%
LPG down 94,9%
You got that backwards: it's 3.5% PHEV, 9% plug-less hybrids.
DeleteBTW, there is some other quite interesting stuff in this article -- though most of it not related to EVs... One particularly interesting bit though is that new sales went down, while used sales went *up*: which *might* have something to do with more and more people realising that buying new combustion cars at this point is a bad idea...
@Jose Pontes: This summary is the information we need for Europe. Please turn it into a monthly table. As separate rows you have the European countries and a total row at the bottom for Europe as a whole. As columns you have the % of the different fuel type per country (columns BEX, PHEV, PEV, HEV, Gasoline, Diesel, Others).
