Renault Zoe Best Seller in fast growing market

The Turkish plug-in sales are up a fantastic 227% in 2018, to 144 units, and although it growing from an admittedly low base, with the PEV share still at 0,05%, this looks to be the true Year One of EVs in this large automotive market.

If in the past this market was known for the BMW i8 success, winning two(!) Best Seller Awards (2015 & '16), this time the sales leader is much less flashy, with the Renault Zoe owning half of the market, with 72 deliveries this year, and on course to beat the BMW i8(!) full year sales record of 106 units, set in 2015.

In second Place we have the 2014 Best Seller, the BMW i3, with 26 units, that is down by two units regarding last year, a worrying performance by BMW, that has also seenthe sales if its i8 Best Seller (It feels strange talking about it in these terms…) drop regarding last year.

Despite not being officially represented, Tesla is experiencing a relative success in this country, so Turkey could be an opportunity of expansion for the American brand.
