"The Great Absentee" of the norwegian EV market will arrive in '14. If all goes well... |
"The Rise and Rise of EV's" Edition
New month, new EV sales record in Norway, there are now 1.475 new plug-ins zooming around there (And i'm not counting some additional 200 imports also added this month), translating in an unbeliavable EV Share of 11,9% and pulling the YTD EV Share to new record heights (5,37%).
Looking at the General Models Ranking we have three(!) electric cars in the Top 10, with the Tesla Model S climbing again the charts to end up in Second on the General Ranking, with 527 units and 4,4% share, just below the evergreen leader VW Golf.
The Nissan Leaf returned to "normal", selling 512 units, dropping to #5, making it #4 in their segment, but just 13 units behind the #2 Toyota Auris.
The third EV in the Top 10 is a surprise, with the VW e-Up! registering 275 units in its first full month of sales, enough to grant it a #9 overall and the leadership of the A-class segment, a category of cars with little representation here, with the e-Up! being the only city car in the norwegian Top 20.
The rest of the market is far from these numbers, with the only real news being the arrival of the BMW i3, a car that should also climb the General Ranking in the coming months.
