But the overall trend is PHEV's conquering share, and the more blatant cases are Belgium, the new halo market for PHEV's, where plug-in hybrids won 18% share, and Sweden, Norway & Canada, where PHEV's did even better, conquering 23% share in just 11 months...
Even France, a BEV stronghold, plug-in hybrids won share, going from 16% to 18% share.
I think PHEV's will increase the % share over the next years since people see them as the "natural" evolution, and brands and manufacturers are promoting PHEV's as the way to go. Bev's will slow down until governments realize it's not worth it to endanger public health with more disease and public spending due to cancers from ic combustion's emissions.
ReplyDeleteThe Netherlands are cutting incentives for PHEV, because on the road these big heavy cars really weren't fuel efficiënt at all. Therefor the focus for incentives will go only to BEV + FCV.
