Spain October 2014

Caliente! Edition

A record 240 ev's were sold in Spain last month, pulling the EV Share to 0,16%, not that distant from the 0,18% of last year, so this could be still a positive year for plug-ins here, let's see how the rest of the year goes.

The Nissan Leaf sales were hot, with 73 registrations, the best performance by any model this year and the best result for the japanese hatch since a year ago (80 units were sold then).

The Renault Zoe was also on fire (71 units), performing a personal best, just like the Outlander PHEV, with 41 registrations.

Looking at the YTD table, the Number is now the Renault Zoe, being chased by the i3 and Twizy, while the Outlander PHEV is closing in to the last place in the podium, will we see it there untill the end of the year?

At the middle of the ranking, the BMW i8 just keeps on jumping positions, it's now #12 and with two more months to go, a Top 10 place is doable for the german sports car.

Final mention for the Volkswagen offerings, 5 sales in total and #14 and #16 for the e-Up! and e-Golf in the YTD ranking are somewhat disappointing results, poor sales interest from consumers or from salespersons?
