Switzerland December 2014

The i3 took the Bronze Medal

Tesla Wins in Thrilling Finish Edition

A record month for the Swiss EV Market, with 315 sales, with the EV Share stable at 0,75%, with Tesla improving the previous all-time monthly record (105 sales, also set by Tesla, last March) by one unit, recovering the YTD leadership in the last month of the year from the Outlander PHEV, The YTD sales tally ended with 2.268 units, a 46% improvement over the previous record, set in the previous year

The Renault Zoe and BMW i3 impressed in the race for #3, both presenting year-best performances, (57 units for the i3, 56 for the Zoe) ending the german car ahead of french one by just 9 units separating both.

The BMW i8 continues to impress, setting yet another personal record by selling 20 units, securing it a record #5 position in the Monthly Ranking, while the eco-car-exotica Volkswagen XL1 arrives at Swiss lands, with its first registration.

Looking at the manufacturers ranking, it was a (very) close call, with Mitsubishi taking profit from the Outlander PHEV sales to gather its second Best Seller title (The first was in 2011), only four units ahead of Renault and 24 sales above Tesla (All had 23% share). Talk about balance!

  2. It looks like the full year for Europe will be very very close to 100 000 sales. I hope you shake every european country possible for EV's so that the numbers get over 100k and not under.
Even if that means finding the numbers balticum, former yugoslavia and whatnot. :P
